SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga
We have teamed up with Wheel Fun Rentals (https://www.facebook.com/WheelFunRentalsMinnesota) to combine two great activities that will challenge your focus, balance and core strength: Stand Up Paddleboarding and Yoga! No SUP experience necessary! You MUST be able to swim, however.
We were featured on WCCO news! Check it out!!
Registration and Cancellation Policy-:
This is a seasonal, novelty class that fills up quick because space is limited to TEN people. There is a strict cancellation policy in place due to wait lists. You must cancel 24 hours in advance or you forfeit your class pass.
$30. This includes your paddleboard and anchor rental, life jacket (You can bring your own; however, it does not reduce the rate of $30.), and a 90-minute yoga class!
6 class pass for $150. Save $30! You can pick and choose which dates you will attend. Purchase here.
What to Bring:
Life Jackets are provided with the boards and are required. HOWEVER, we’ll be practicing close enough to shore, that you probably won’t need or want one on, so we’ll just attach it to the board.
IF you want a life vest, but don’t want to use the standard bulky ones, please bring your own. A waist flotation device would work too provided you can flow easily in it.
Please wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting wet.
(Yoga pants/shorts and tank tops work great.)
Water shoes are okay too, to prevent any slipping or sliding, but are not required or necessary.
Participants MUST be able to swim, be comfortable in the water, be prepared to get wet, and have at least a beginner or intermediate yoga practice.
IF we have winds 20 mph or above, class will be moved to patio/grass alongside Lake Calhoun. Unfortunately, we won’t know this until we arrive at the lake (it’s determined by the paddleboard providers). Please have a mat in your car on windy days just in case we end up not being able to use the boards.
If it’s raining, class will be cancelled an hour before and you’ll be notified on Facebook/Twitter OR you can check the schedule online. It is up to you to check these mediums for cancellations. (Our FB feed runs on our homepage so you do not have to have your own account).
Other things to know:
All personal items, keys, wallets, water bottles, towels can be kept on the beach but will not be protected, so please only bring what you absolutely need.
The rental staff will be close by to keep an eye on belongings but will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Again, space is limited for this awesome, specialty class! So sign up early!!!
