BodySHED uses a mix of specialized forms of interval training that involve briefly pushing yourself beyond the upper end of your aerobic exercise zone with plyometrics, sprints, spinning and weight training. The short intervals of maximum intensity are separated by longer intervals of low to moderate intensity. This method is proven to use more FAT as fuel both during and after the workout.

  • Diana, Age 45 Says:

The bodyShed boot camp is worth every penny that is costs! What you get are results: weight loss, toned body, muscle definition, nutritional insights, improved strength, lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure readings that are wonderfully low. As an added bonus you also get: a supportive, kind, friendly and fun staff who are sensitive to what you need, (you can be as introverted or as extroverted as you want to be), fellow boot campers who are ready and willing to empathize with you about the experience and with whom very real friendships can develop, and an understanding of how your body works and how to make it work better! I am writing this from the perspective of having taken not one, but 2 consecutive bodyShed boot camps. Today was the last day of my second boot camp and I am genuinely happy, excited and ready to continue my fitness journey at the Shed. I’m so glad that I didn’t wait any longer to get on the road to a better life. My only regret is that I didn’t become a member of the Shed family sooner.

I had no idea what to expect coming in, other than the recommendation of a friend who’s a triathlete that it was the best training he’s ever had. I was so out of shape and tired when I started, and I had never taken a group exercise class before. I was really, honestly scared. I have loved every minute of Katie and Leah’s excellent instruction and can actually feel the extra muscle I’ ve gained. I don’t feel like a rag doll anymore. I did struggle a bit a few weeks in when I just felt sore every day. I noticed that I actually do get something of an endorphin rush now, though, so I can usually push through it. I definitely plan on taking more classes with The Shed; the staff is EXCEPTIONAL!!!!

In my infrequent attempts to start an exercise program, I have always quit before reaching any goals. First of all, I never had any real goals and secondly, I never had a real plan. This time around my goal was to lose weight and feel better about my body. Joining boot camp gave me the plan to meet these goals. I started out being VERY nervous about how I would do because I never measured myself against anyone else (I would always work out alone in a gym or run by myself). After the first week I felt almost euphoric- I had a routine and a diet plan and I felt I was at least keeping up with the class. Then I really got down when I went to a Saturday Spin 60 class. I couldn’t keep up and felt defeated. This is when working out with a group really pays off- I was given encouragement and support to keep going (thanks Katie and Helen)! The next week felt great- I had lost weight and I did much better in the Spin 60 class. I feel now I have the tools (diet and exercise) to use for the rest of my life. I will continue at the Shed as it feels so supportive (thank you Leah! ) and the diverse class offerings keep exercise interesting and fun. Thanks to everyone for being so supportive and friendly!

For me, exercising has always been a little bit like cleaning my house. I LOVE a clean house, but I HATE cleaning it! (Too bad I can’t hire someone to exercise for me!)

The Shed Boot Camp has turned my love/hate relationship with exercise to more ‘love’ and less ‘hate’…and has been transformational in my level of energy and overall enthusiasm for taking care of me! Seriously, as a very busy and stressed 47 year old executive (who had not been taking the best care of herself) I didn’t know where to turn to get the type of guidance, inspiration and encouragement to help me realize what I knew I wanted (and needed) to be: healthier/feel and look better. I found it with BodySHED.

After 6 weeks, I’m back to my size 6 suits (from size 10) and have more focus/energy. The Shed’s Boot Camp program provides a really comfortable and welcoming groupenvironment to make friends and see results. It is challenging. It pushes you. In summary, it has a great ROI!”

The BodySHED Boot Camp was the most rewarding fitness/health experience I’ve ever had. I had never done a Boot Camp before and I was looking forward to losing weight, getting into better shape and really pushing myself harder than I ever had. This program delivered everything I had hoped for and more. The personal, hands-on attention from Katie and Kim was awesome. Having never done a Boot Camp, I was a little intimidated, but after the first week, I knew I made the right choice. I had TWO personal trainers/dedicated nutrition coaches for six weeks. Katie and Kim were always positive, always upbeat, always encouraging and explained things in a way that I could understand. I’ve left this program with a wealth of knowledge around proper nutrition and now have a ton of cardio and strength exercises I can continue with on my own! In six weeks, I lost 10 pounds, and almost three inches around my waist and hips! I can’t thank Katie, Kim and The SHED staff enough.

  • Vicki Says:

I have done quite a few boot camp progams (I enjoy switching up my routine) and The Shed program was my favorite. I thought the length was perfect (6 weeks) as enough time to see some significant results but not get too burned out. I think a testament of that is how many people in our program chose to enroll in the next one. That is pretty strong statement of the quality of the program. I loved the flexibility of the program and Katie and Kim did a great job of supporting us, encouraging us and providing constructive criticism on our workouts and/or diets. I definitely recommend this program and am anxious to do another session! -Vicki, age 35

  • Justin Says:

You really go above and beyond what people usually get from their gym. I have been a part of many gyms in the past, never got much advice on nutrition… I have learned a lot! Justin, Age 36

  • Clarence Says:

Katie and Kim were amazing! They pushed and encouraged me every session! They helped me find out a lot about myself! I lost 27 lbs and many many inches! My eight year old son said, “Dad your stomach is getting flatter, I am so proud of you dad!” I can’t thank you enough girls!

  • Anne Says:

I had never lifted weights before nor did I consider myself athletic. This program made me stronger and was proof that I am tougher and can endure more than I thought I could. Katie and Kim encouraged me and I felt like my successes were shared! I’ve lost inches and gained muscles. I can do push ups! I plan on continuing to work out at the Shed and take more HIIT classes. The clean diet was a huge part of my success, I am continuing it because its easy and I feel so much better. I love beans and veggies again! Anne, age 33
